Standards:
The learner standards for this webquest are derived from the Maine Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs (which is based upon the ASCA National Model for School Counseling Programs and the Maine Learning Results for Career Prep), and on the MSAD #56 board-approved Career Prep Curriculum (which is based upon the National Standards and the Maine Learning Results).
There are many performance standards applied to this endeavor, which are secondary and required for successful completion of the task. These include communications skills, written language, presentational expectations, etc. While all related skill standards will be upheld, only those most germaine to the project will be explicitly taught and assessed. Those assessed will include web-based research, integrating web-based, print, and other resources, collaboration and communications skills, and use of technology in presentations.
